Upper Body: I like to hit my chest, shoulders, and upper back on Mondays. I'm fresh from the weekend so it allows me to push that much harder and it saves my legs for the rest of the week!
HIIT Strength Training: HIIT stands for High Intense Interval Training and it is a full body workout that requires quick, intense reps with short breaks in between. This spikes heart rate and burns calories like crazy!
Yoga: I used to treat Wednesday as a rest day. But have recently started doing yoga as an active recovery and boy has it made a difference!
Leg Day: Oh yes, the dreaded leg day. I choose Thursday for this because I'm fresh after yoga-Wednesday.
Abs and Lower Back: I hit my abs hard. Like, very hard. my ab workout is about 40 minutes long and my lower back workout is about 20 minutes.
Long Run or Long Cycle: I like to do some form of long cardio on my Saturday mornings. This gets me nice and sore for my rest day on Sunday!
